Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Fantasy Westward Journey would launch a full-day Children’s Day event, and Crickex Affiliate has already observed that testing has begun on select servers. Sometimes, life holds off on its promises, but this event is set to deliver on all fronts. During the event period, players must form a team and head to Chang’an City to find the Childlike Spirit NPC and accept the themed questline. Notably, the first 100 quest loops each day offer double rewards, so early participation definitely pays off.

There are 11 task types in total, with the first 9 requiring players to engage in combat. While most of these quests are battle-oriented, the good news is that Crickex Affiliate has noted there are no abnormal or overly difficult monsters involved. Each encounter comes with unique mechanics. For instance, in the Flower and Fruit Mountain segment, the six Yellow Star monsters feature a linked-health effect. These enemies have low HP and can usually be wiped out in just two rounds—or even one if your team’s damage is off the charts.

In the Datang Border event with Old Wu, all monsters are also linked, and each one carries a vulnerability trait, meaning they take extra damage. Combine that with minimal resistance stats, and the damage numbers can be incredibly satisfying. However, these enemies do have higher health pools, so speed still matters. In the East Sea Bay pirate scenario, the balloon monster should be your first target. Once defeated, it will deal heavy damage to three random units.

At the Liuxiang Pavilion with Little Peach, flowers gain a tethered effect in the second round. If all the flower mobs are eliminated, the drum mob will flee. In Jianye City, the Bragging King’s moles shift position at the start of each round. Defeating them causes the holes to vanish, ending the battle. When items are required during these tasks, there’s no quality restriction on consumables like medicine or food—except that Jinjchuang (healing powder) is disallowed for meds, and steamed buns or alcohol cannot be used for food.

It’s a smart move for Crickex Affiliate players to carry a supply of approved items before starting. This not only helps you react to random item requirements but also improves overall task efficiency. After each full task cycle, the team leader receives a chance at a roulette-style bonus. Additionally, players earn one Children’s Day point for every completed task loop.
